Red Cross @ “The Bite of Seattle”

When you think of the Red Cross we automatically think of the Disaster Services the Red Cross Provides. Earthquakes in Japan or Hati, Wildfires, assistance to those who may have lost their home in a fire, and of course the Blood Donation services. What most people don’t envision is the numerous other services the Red Cross provides, such as this weekend (7/21-22/12) The Red Cross will have a FAST (First Aid Station Team) located on the NW corner of Harrison Street across from the Center House.

The FAST team members are comprised of Volunteers from all walks of life, students, professionals, teachers, medical professionals and more.

I would encourage anyone who desires to get involved with volunteer community service to please investigate the American Red Cross. If you are at the “Bite” this weekend come by and say hi to the team members.

Pretty Uneventful day, however I am quickly becoming and expert in little feet, and not the 80’s band, but band-aids. The fountain proved to be a great source of superficial wounds, skinned knees & elbows, and lots of stubbed toes (adults too).
